Terms & Conditions for Booking a Taxi or HGV Medical for an applicant

Before completing your booking, please read the important information below.

By placing a booking, you agree to these terms.

1. Required Notice for Cancellations

We require at least 3 working days’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

If less than 3 working days’ notice is provided, no refund will be issued.

2. Confirmation Message

After booking, you will receive a confirmation email or text message with your appointment details and location.

If you do not receive this confirmation, please contact us immediately.

3. Documents You MUST Bring

For Taxi and HGV medicals, we do not require full GP medical records.

However, you must bring:

1. ESR – Electronic Summary Record

Free from your GP

Usually 2–3 pages showing medication and basic medical history

2. Glasses or contact lenses (if needed for driving)

3. Photo ID

Driving Licence or Passport

If you do not bring the required documents, the doctor may not be able to complete your medical, and a new appointment will need to be purchased.

4. Arrival Time

Please arrive on time.

If you are late and the doctor cannot see you, a new appointment will need to be booked and paid for.

5. Responsibility for the Medical

All medical assessments, decisions, and outcomes are the sole responsibility of the independent doctor carrying out your examination.

BookAMedical is not responsible for:

The doctor’s medical decision

Completion or accuracy of forms

A council or DVLA rejecting your medical

Any clinical outcomes

You understand and agree that the platform only arranges appointments and processes payments.

By completing your booking, you acknowledge and accept these Terms & Conditions.
